Our members were in for a special treat for our November meet. Tom Barr, one of our founding members, was extremely gracious and hosted us Bay Area planted tank geeks. It was a bit further than our usual drive and there was a good chance of rain, but well worth it!
We had plenty of time to ask Tom questions and then share everyone’s generous donations of plants in the swap. Many were able to get some rare or desired new plants this time. Folks also got a chance to pick through Tom’s nature-collected Manzanita wood and some plants. Tom’s aquariums were immaculate as always and a sight to behold in person. Pictures posted online simply do not do them justice!
An especially warm thanks to Tom (and family for sharing their home) for hosting one of our best Open House meets.
